To reach the Physics Department by car
A very complete road and motorway network (E40, E25, E42,
E313) allows one to come very easily to the Sart
Tilman by car.
from Brussels (motorway E 40):
At the intersection Loncin (E40-E42-A602), take the
motorway
A602 in the direction of Luxembourg and of the motorway E 25.
This
connection E40-E25 is constantly monitored by several automatic radars.
It enters a first tunnel under the hill of Cointe, then the "Bridge of
Liège ", before a second tunnel under Kinkempois. Leave
the
E25 motorway at the exit 40 "Embourg". Take a right
accross
the river Ourthe, then (at traffic lights) take a left towards Sart
Tilman. Going straight,
you then enter the Sart Tilman on the "Boulevard du Rectorat". Stay
on the right lane, take the second road on the roundabout (going
straight)
and keep going on the right lane. At some point, it will be compulsory
(if you are on the right lane)
to turn to the right. Do so : the parking of the Physics department is
straight ahead (parking 42)
from Namur (motorway E 42):
Leave the E42 motorway at the exit "Seraing", remain on the motorway
E42
to Loncin. Then take take the motorway A602 in the direction of
Luxembourg
and of the motorway E 25 and follow the instructions for the visitors
coming
from Brussels.
from Aachen (E 40) or Maastricht (motorway A 25):
At Cheratte (intersection E40-A25), follow the E40 in the direction
of Brussels. Pass the motorway to Antwerp and continue on the
E40,
to Loncin. Then follow the instructions for the visitors from
Brussels.
from Luxembourg (E 25):
Leave the E25 motorway at the exit 40 "Embourg". Take on the left the
bridge
which crosses the river Ourthe,
then take a left towards Sart Tilman.
from Antwerp (E 313):
When you approach the city, do not take the direction Liege
(left
motorway) but continue in the direction of Namur and Seraing.
Pass
Rocourt and Alleur. You arrive to Loncin. Follow then the instructions
for the visitors coming from Brussels.
