HOW TO REACH SPA

BY TRAIN:

Spa is 48 minutes from Liège Guillemins, and there is a train every hour 8 minutes.
You have to go to Pepinster (25 minutes) or Verviers , then change train to Spa.
In Spa, you can take a taxi at the station to Sol Cress for 3 to 4 Euros.

From Wroclaw, there is night train from Rzepin arriving in the early morning in Köln.
From Paris, there are frequent direct Thalys connection from Paris-Nord (2h30).
From Heidelberg, either you take the direct Frankfurt-Liège ICE early in the morning (2h40), either direct ICE from Heidelberg to Köln, either you take another combination via Aachen (from where you may avoid to pass by Liège).

BY CAR:

From Aachen, E40, Belgian border:

    Carry on the E40
    in the direction of E40 Lüttich-Liège Verviers
    passing near to Eupen
    Follow the sign Battice Verviers Trèves/Trier Spa (towards the left)
    Carry on the E42 in the direction of E42 Spa Trèves/Trier Verviers
    passing near to Verviers (then see below)

From Paris, E19, Belgian border

    Carry on the E19 in the direction of E19 Bruxelles Liège Mons
    Follow the sign E42 Charleroi La Louvière Liège
    and rejoin the E42
    pass La Louvière Charleroi Namur Andenne Huy
    In vicinity of Liège follow the sign E40 Aachen Prüm Verviers Saint-Vith
    and rejoin the E40
    pass Liège
    After Herve
    Follow the sign E42 Battice Trèves/Trier Verviers Spa (towards the right)
    and rejoin the E42

From Brussels:

    Take the E40
    pass Leuven Tienen Waremme Ans
    In vicinity of Liège follow the sign E40 Aachen Prüm Verviers Saint-Vith
    and rejoin the E40

    and rejoin the E42

From Verviers:

    Take exit 8 towards Spa
    In Tiège Go through a roundabout and carry on the N629 (Balmoral)
    Leave the main road to the right (you actually go straight)
    after Hotel Balmoral (Av. Leopold 2)
    After 1.5 km, take a right towards Sol Cress - follow the signs to Sol Cress

The eurolines coach company has a terminal close to the main train station in Liège (Guillemins), from which you can easily take a train to Spa.
