FNRS IISN postdoctoral post

The IFPA group of the STAR Institute offers a 2-year postdoctoral fellowship for a researcher in astroparticle physics.

Our group consists of 4 permanent members (J.R. Cudell, Y. de Rop, D. Hutsemekers and D. Sluse), 2 postdocs, and 3 graduate students. We study many aspects of astroparticle physics, such as dark matter, cosmic ray showers, gravitational waves, gravitational lensing, AGN polarization, and large-scale structures.

We are at present looking for researchers interested in:

• neutrino astronomy,
• neutron stars,
• axion superradiance,
• high-energy cosmic rays.

Rules governing the fellowship:

• The net salary will be about 2400 euros/month and the starting date must be before October 2020.
• Deadline: March 31st, decision in April.
• The candidate must have a doctoral degree at the time of application and must have had it for less than 5 years at the time of hiring.
• This announcement is directed towards non-residents of Belgium (for at least 2 years in the last 3 years).
